Delete your account & data

You can ask us to delete your Dhelai account and all the data linked to it at any time, free of charge. Here is how.

1. How to request deletion

Send an email to dhelai.mail@gmail.com from the same email address you used to sign in (so we can verify the request is really yours).

• Subject: Delete my account
• Body: a short line confirming you want your account and data deleted.

2. What gets deleted

When we process your request, we permanently remove everything personal to you:

• Your account and profile — name, email address, and Google profile photo.
• Your reading activity — chapters opened, time spent, words/progress, and streaks.
• Your liked and saved books.
• Your referral data and any access codes you redeemed.

3. What may be retained

For legal and integrity reasons, we may keep: (a) fully anonymous aggregate counts that contain no personal identifiers (e.g., "this book was opened 1,234 times"), and (b) records we are legally required to retain (e.g., tax/invoice records, if any).

4. How long it takes

We will delete all of your data within 90 days of receiving your request (usually much sooner). We will confirm by email once it is done.

5. In-app deletion (coming soon)

We are adding a one-tap "Delete account" option inside the app in an upcoming update. Until then, the email request above is the way to delete your account, and it removes exactly the same data.
