Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 May 2026
By using the Dhelai app or website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Dhelai is operated by Govind Kumar Wadhwa from India.
1. Who can use Dhelai
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission before signing in.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google. You're responsible for whatever happens on your account — keep your Google credentials safe. If you suspect unauthorised use, sign out from Google's security page and email us at support@dhelai.in.
One Dhelai account is for one person. Don't share your sign-in with others — doing so is grounds for account suspension.
3. The books
License, not ownership
When you read a book on Dhelai, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to read it inside the app. You don't own the book file. The author retains all copyright.
What you may NOT do
- Copy, reproduce, screenshot, screen-record, or otherwise extract book content.
- Re-distribute, upload, publish, sell, or share book content with anyone.
- Use the content to train any AI model — automated extraction is prohibited.
- Reverse engineer the app to obtain the book files in any format.
- Translate or create derivative works without written permission from the author.
The app blocks screenshots on Android and disables text selection. Bypassing these protections violates these Terms and the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
4. In-app purchases (when available)
Purchases inside the app are processed via Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple's In-App Purchase (iOS). Refund policies of those platforms apply. We do not handle payment cards directly. Purchases unlock the book for your account; access does not transfer to other accounts.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to break the service or access other users' data.
- Don't scrape the app, website, or our backend.
- Don't impersonate someone else or supply false sign-up info.
- Don't use the service for any illegal activity.
6. Your data
Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@dhelai.in.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms — most importantly, if you copy/share book content or share your account. We'll usually warn you first, but for clear piracy or fraud we may act immediately.
You can stop using Dhelai at any time. Account deletion is permanent; book licenses tied to that account end too.
8. Service availability
We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee it. The app reads its data from our backend; if the backend is temporarily down, parts of the app (sync, stats, login) may not work. Previously-downloaded chapters typically remain readable offline.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". The book is an opinion-and-analysis work, not professional financial, legal, medical, or career advice. Read it for insight, then make your own decisions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Dhelai is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or ₹1,000 — whichever is higher. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts at Gharsana, Sri Ganganagar district, Rajasthan. Where small claims forums are available for individual users under Indian consumer-protection law, that remains an option for you.
12. Changes to these Terms
If we update these Terms in any material way, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you inside the app on next launch. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Contact
